What the Hell is the difference ?

I believe that many people that tend to default to being and atheist or agnostic really are deists.

Deists generally take the same position as atheists except for the fact that there is not enough proof to disqualify the existence of a creationist force. Now, I am not talking about the idea of “god” that many theistic beliefs imply.

Deists, as agnostics function in such a way that the possible existence of a god or the lack of an existence of a god does not effect the life of an agnostic or deist any which way. But, science has not ruled out the possibility of a creationist force and actually the quest to find the “singularity” is the holy grail in science, which currently has taken us to the multi-verse theory and mathematical possibilities that can result in an infinite versions of our reality. Making anything possible.

Deists claim, we as a humanity do not know enough to prove or to disprove the existence of “god” and so deists claim the reserve to believe there is a higher force that can be described as god, but a god that is inline with science.

Many fear that what the multi-verse theory points to is that we are exponentially smaller then we previously thought and that our entire reality is much less eventful as we thought. We are not special, we can possibly be the result of a lab test (possibly accidental), similar to the same lab tests currently happening all over our world many times a day.

One thing is sure the more that we know, the less we know.

The Wall Street Journal reports (April 22, 2002) that some colleges are recruiting Jewish students to give them higher status in terms of SAT scores. The Journal also reports that highest three groups in SATs are Unitarians, Jews, and Quakers.

I support Israel for the same reasons I support democratic Hindu India over Islamist Pakistan. Nor will I waste my time trying reason with irrational people obsessed with conspiracy theories. Jews don’t seek converts, they don’t rule the world or me, and I don’t consider them or anyone else some special chosen anything. Jewish contributions to society are far out of proportion to their numbers. Their secret to success is the same for Unitarians, mainline Protestants, and Asian immigrants; hard work, education, and thrift.

Jews are not a race or even an ethnic group anymore than Catholics are, but a religion. A Jew is one that practices Judaism as defined by at least a belief in one G-d that reveres Moses and Torah. An atheist born of two Jewish parents is an atheist, and one who converts to Christianity is a Christian, not a Jew. Let’s not get into these absurd “neo-con” and Freemasonry conspiracy theories used inter-changeably with Jews. There is no known organizations of neo-cons and is often a leftist slur. As far as Freemasonry, many of the founding ideals of America come from them. George Washington and 27 signers of the Constitution were Freemasons.

You might note that a truly loving god could forgive offenses without a blood sacrifice just as the bible instructs humans to do. And do you also affirm your love to your wife while you beat her? Try comprehending a god that claims to love us while setting up a scheme that would assure we are infinitely tortured for a sin as finite as lying. Do you abandon a child that has misbehaved, even if they do not repent? God goes a step further and takes them to the basement for eternal torture. He has also required some such children to seek salvation through the acceptance of Jesus, yet somehow overlooked broadcasting that fact to parts of the world. Your god is a square triangle that deserves no further consideration.

So instead of projecting what you suppose in your ignorance to be the psychological deficiency of non-believers, how about providing some non-circular evidence for your extravagant unsubstantiated claims?

Read the account of my deconversion carefully. Then consider whether weak-heartedness might actually be on the side of the theist who, out of fear and other emotions, needs the concept of god as a crutch in blatant abandonment of intellectual integrity.
