Well, I’ve been off work this past week burning up some use-it-or-lose-it vacation time. With lots of projects around the house in need of attention I am taking the only reasonable course of action – spending time blogging. Yeah, I suck, but so what.

Leviticus – Part 2 (Abounding in abominations)

I’ve gotta finish up the Book of Leviticus and move on, so what follows is roughly the last 10 chapters. Without further delay, let’s jump in and wrap this puppy up.
Leviticus – Part 1 (Rites, Rituals, Rubbish)

I’m finally back at this Bible-reading endeavor once again. My normal job has been placing huge demands on my time which has made it difficult to find quality time to read the Bible and write posts. (Is reading the Bible bullshit ever considered quality time?!) However, I’m re-dedicating myself to the effort because I just [...]

I colleague at work pointed me to this link which is a photo of some nameless asshole in Ohio, clearly anti-Obama.

I came across this noteworthy item about a just discovered asteroid that will be hitting the Earth’s atmosphere on 10/7 somewhere over Sudan, and should be a quite spectacular fireball. I wish I were in a position to view this event as it sounds pretty cool, fleeting though it may be.
Perhaps it’s Mohammad riding a [...]
Exodus – Part 1 (Moses vs Pharaoh)

I am finally into the second book of the Bible – Exodus. I’d been kinda looking forward to this one because I thought it would have some more interesting stories and fodder for commentary. My expectations were partially realized. There is, of course, the battle-royale between Moses/God and Pharaoh, with all Magic Castle stuff. Then [...]
Ask not of your country …

With politics so thick and heavy in the air of late I find myself grumbling as I do each election cycle. Like many voters I hear some things from the candidates I like, and much that I question. I’m an Obama fan, but even some of his positions are rather vague and unrealistic. However, what [...]
